My Funny Valentines

Praise God!  Harvey really made a great impression. He was handsome, polished, well spoken, educated and sane.  I'd like to repeat the word "Sane."  We had a fabulous lunch date and it lasted for about 4+ hours.  We were talking so much that the server came back several times and started to believe that we weren't going to order.  We were able to sit outside in the sun. We had so much to talk about and didn't run out of topics.  The comfort level was well...sorry to be redundant...comfortable.  We took a walk on Sullivan's island after lunch and it was just nice.  We made plans to see each other later in the week- Tomorrow-Thursday.  Both of us reached out to the other the next day to share thanks and happy anticipation to seeing each other on Date number 2.  (Cue dramatic music). Andy Rooney Style Rant starts...now... I've never planned a wedding before.  And I'm growing frustrated daily by reading these blogs from other brides to be who know SO much about these planning details.  It's as if they went to school and got a Masters in Matrimony.   No one who's never been married can claim to know everything! Seriously!  We all have ideas and pin the hell out of what we'd like on our big day on Pinterest but unless you've been there before or are a professional wedding planner- seriously- stop acting like a know it all!  End Rant.  Petty Party over. Keep In Touch!

Keeping in touch is something that I strive to do daily. Connecting in some way to make sure that my family and friends know that I love them comforts my soul and I hope they know that they are on my mind often.  I am sad to lose my Aunt Sonia today but I am happy to know that we connected on some level on the regular. I know she loved me and I told her I loved her every chance I could. She didn't know this but I thought Aunt Sonia was a movie star.   She had this awesome song to her voice as she told great stories and owned the most wonderful menagerie of crystal animals that I love to look at and not touch. She would have all of my favorite foods to eat at her house. How did she always know?! I'll never forget when I got my tongue stuck on a Banana Jello Pudding Pop at her house. It was terrifying but the crisis was easily averted by placing my head in the sink under hot water.  I would visit her and my cousin regularly and love to live the New York lifestyle in their B...
